Literature Text
She wanted to welcome the world with open arms,
And a smile on her face.
But the world greeted her with a face of cruelty.
And so unwilling to face her fears, she retreated into the place
Where she once found solitude.
Words of scorn began to bombard her.
And so she threw a barricade,
Trying to maintain solace.
But when words turned to anger, and anger into hatred...
When words turned into sadness, and sadness into depression...
When she realized her thoughts were no more safer than the world she barred herself from...
When her outcries became choked by the rushing rivers which surrounded her walls...
When silence began to numb her pain...
When bitterness bloated her brain, until she could take it no more...
She began to write.

The Words That I Don't Say
Incessant silence ebbs throughout the room from me to you.
Anger seethes from you to me which feeds into the hollow quiet.
Merciless stakes of words jab repeatedly into my skin and probe me into a permanent tight lip.
Secrets continue to bubble beneath the surface as they beg to spill forth.
Opening up old wounds that had only begun to scar over.
Regrets of the past and present continue to haunt my minds and threaten to spill.
Repetition of self hatred and disgust toward myself only beckons me to shut out the rest of the world.
Your words may reach me, but I am the one that is not responding as this hand only tightens around my neck.

Take Me To A Place Where There's No Light
My dear, take me to a place where there's no light.
To a place where the darkness will conceal your beauty.
To shroud you in majestic mystery.
My dear, take me to a place where the light won't hold sway.
Where each touch is cold as ice.
Where your words are a whisper's breath.
My dear, let us close the gates of light, for only then may our love truly burn bright.
Literature
Come out and play, my demons
When the lights go out
Memories get foggy
And the silence becomes unbearable
All the negativity
All the insecurities
All the demons
Come out to play
Out of the deepest darkest pits
Of my mind and soul
Where so much rage
So much sadness
And so much fear
Are hidden
I play with them for a while
We laugh and dance
Like good buddies
Until the Dark Queen shows up
She aproaches me
With her long dress
Her pitch black hair
And her devilish smile
Making me think to myself
'It's gonna be a fun night'
